The Temple of Saint Sava is the largest Serbian Orthodox church, and by it’s volume, the largest Orthodox church in the world.

3- Climb the Millenium tower and admire Zemun 

Millenium tower was built in 1896, within the oldest preserved fortification from the 14th century, at the hill of Gardoš, right over the right bank of the Danube.

4- Museum of Yugoslav history

Learn more about the former Yugoslavia and Josip Broz Tito that lead the partisans during the I World War.

5- Eat a Pljeskavica 

Serbian Pljeskavica Hamburgers are Serbian hamburgers popular in one form or another throughout the Balkans, especially Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia.

6- Enjoy the nightlife in a Splav (floating river clubs) 

7- Roam the bohemian quarters of Skadarlija8- Try Serbian Baklava (Sevdidjan Baklava)

9- Swim in Ada Ciganlija

Ada Ciganlija proudly bears the name of “Belgrade Sea”.

10- Walk in Knez Mihailova street 

This is the perfect street to buy that perfect drawing of the Saint Sava temple (just like i did eh eh), have a meal and feel the atmosphere of the city!

11- Visit Saint Mark’s church 

St. Mark’s church is a Serbian Orthodox church located in the Tašmajdan park in Belgrade, near the Parliament of Serbia.
12- Explore Kosančićev venac

13- Avala Tower 

The original tower was finished in 1965, but was destroyed by the NATO bombardment of Serbia on 29 April 1999.  

The tower was one of the last buildings to be destroyed before the end of the NATO operation. A special bomb was used to destroy the tower. The blast was one of the loudest explosions heard throughout Belgrade during the bombings.

I really enjoyed visiting this museum!
15- House of the National Assembly of Serbia

16- Zeleni Venac market 

Open since 1924 here you can find the true essence of Belgrade with locals selling a lot of fresh products as well as traditional drinks and cured meat.

17- Hotel Moskba

Hotel Moskba is one of the oldest hotels in Serbia! Its oficial opening was in 1908. It’s so pretty!  

18- Bajrakli Mosque

The only mosque in Belgrade! Read more about it here.
19- Main train station

20- Watch a basketball game in Kombank Arena


Serbs are really good at basketball! I watched Serbia winnig against Greece in Kombank arena. 
21-   See the ruins of the buildings bombed by NATO in 1999
22- Jevremovac Botanical Garden

23- Enjoy cevapi 

Ćevapi is a grilled dish of minced meat, a type of skinless sausage. More about serbian food here.
