After taking classes for three years in school, it has been a while since I started to learn French again

Here are my favourite resources to learn the language of Molière!

Resources for practising your listening skills

Listening to French people can be a difficult challenge! Not only they will speak fast but the french language is not pronounced the same way that is written!

Podcasts:

The good thing about podcasts is that you hear them while you’re doing something else (driving, going for a walk outside or on the treadmill, etc) since you have short podcasts. My favourite podcast is Le Francais avec fluidité (From Fabien Sausset this podcast will teach you about France and French culture in short podcasts. I really like it!)

Resources for practising your writing skills

My favourite resource to practise writing in French is Dictée d’Archibald from TV5 Monde. It is a great resource since you can practise your listening and writing skills!

My second tip is to write your day in a notebook and ask a native speaker to correct it. Lastly, you will get better at writing by doing the essays for French exams (I am currently doing the essays for DEFL B2).

Resources for practising your reading skills

Books, newspapers:

  • Le petit prince
